...moving...for the 12th time in 8 years...

Moving for the 12th time in eight years...that is too much, still I think is worth it, cheaper rent, larger house, old house, big window house, and trees :) I'll post some pictures of our new little nest, and well I cannot work or design for a couple weeks, except in my head. New gurushkas designs coming soon...

I feel like crazy rabbit in Alice in Wonderland...run run, and of course work work, my head is dizzy from so much sewing and planning and thinking, but I can't stop, here is some of the last things I've done...It's raining almost every day which I loooove totally, but alot of people have lost their homes and rain will continue. I think that sign designed during WWII in England reflects my way of looking at the world today "Keep calm and carry on", and try and carry on, the best you can, because this country is in such a hectic state so it needs that...we are in a war

Me siento como el conejo loco de Alicia en el pais de las maravillas, corre corre, y por supuesto trabaja trabaja, me duele hasta la cabeza y estoy atarantada de tanto coser, planear y pensar, pero no puedo detenerme, aqui estan algunas de las cosas que he estado haciendo... Llueve casi diario y la verdad me encanta...amo la lluvia, desgraciadamente muchas personas han perdido sus casas y hay mucha devastacion y al parecer la lluvia continuara. Y pienso en el letrero que se disenio para la segunda guerra mundial en Inglaterra y creo que refleja algo como me siento respecto al mundo hoy "Manten la calma y continua", y tratar y continuar de la mejor manera, porque este pais esta en un estado de desastre que eso necesita, estamos en una guerra

Mi mente tambien esta medio en desastre. Ok lo que sigue...de regreso a trabajar... corre corre

Some of the last work done for a contest at Spoonflower... so exciting I loved the result... originally instead of the kitten there was a baby mouse, upon request of my family I had to change it... ajjaja okey kitten still cute, but I think the mouse was cuter... but they can be really mmmhhh annoying, so here it is... just a little pick. Que emocion participar en el concurso del mandil... estoy lista para lo que sigue y acumulando ideas... originalmente era un raton pero como mi mama esta en pelea constante con los ratones y por mayoria de votos se cambio a un gatito, el ratoncito estaba lindo... total pueden ser una verdadera peste, me acorde del jardin en la casa anterior en Saltillo. En unos 20 dias tendre impreso el disenio, hoy se publican los resultados, estaba dura la competencia, pero no pierdo la esperanza... el jardin nocturno y su magia :D

Had a wonderful mother's day, woke up late, to drink my coffe and receive my little nice gurumania tags... :) that really made me smile, in disbelif... and look forward to my project even more.

This idea still is a surprise not only for you but also for me because is still developing and I'm not sure how it'll be when is fully acomplished, I can't hardly wait but first... I need some cash :( all right...by June should be ready :)

I think about creating and I say to myself "Now!!! I'll sew a really chic handbag, elegant and classic", but I can't help myself and gotta have fun...doing all different little colourful things with fabric, it's too much fun...

There is also a pile of fabric and merino wool yarn waiting and calling my name for a little while now...

Not enough time...so much work

I've been working every day trying to organize my new project, preparing to support Alex and his PhD plans... seems I don't have enough time or money to do all the ideas, so I steal time from my beautiful, understanding kids, and a little money from the grocery money pot... I really love how things are turning up, many things are a matter of time and patience, I'm waitting on more things that I wish I was... but hopefully by Mother's Day, I'll have all the material I need to really advance on my Gurushka Project...

We had a great weekend, had a little homemade spa session, so refreshing. Also amazing little surprises in the shape of flowers by our cactii...

He estado trabajando diario tratando de organizar mi nuevo proyecto, y preparandome para apoyar a Alex durante su doctorado... parece que nunca hay suficiente tiempo o dinero para llevar a cabo todas las ideas, y termino robandole tiempo a mis hermosos y comprensivos hijitos, y un poco de dinero de los gastos de la casa ... Me encanta como va resultando todo el proyecto y mi trabajo, muchas cosas son cuestion de tiempo y paciencia , estoy esperando más cosas de las que quisiera... pero espero que para el día de la Madre ya tener todo el material que necesito para realmente avanzar en el Proyecto Gurushka...

Tuvimos un rico fin de semana con un improvisado spa casero, super agusto. Tambien pequeñas sorpresas de nuestros cactus 5 florearon...

Definitivamente debo decir que las crisis generan una creatividad masiva que en mi al menos a veces es difícil de canalizar, sin embargo doy gracias de la ebullición interna...de ideas. Aquí un avance de lo que estoy preparando, Que emoción :)

A marchas forzadas estamos empezando el año, aja vaya ya es marzo... bueno seguimos con temperaturas altas y bajas en una sola semana... y se quiere asomar la primavera. Tenemos mil decisiones que hacer para el futuro. Y dias como hoy me forzó a seguir creando y experimentando... pero es tambien como un vicio que no puedo dejar... una bendicion
